Cooking Skills & World Cuisine: Chef-Led Student Cooking Program - 111059

This five-week, global class explores the culture and cuisine of five countries. Young chefs will learn how to follow a recipe, prepare and cook ingredients. Students will be challenged to use a wide variety of equipment and tools safely and effectively and will be able to eat what they cook every class. Graduates of this program are able to cook a balanced healthy meal. For safety purposes, no jewelry or open-toed shoes; hair must be pulled back.

Summer Slimeology Lab - 311000

Children make two types of gooey slime that can be customized at the concoction center to please their senses. Pool Hop - 346000

Hang with your closest friends for the day at three waterparks. We’ll start the day visiting Sea Lion Aquatic Park where you can experience two body fume slides, two drop slides and a vortex pool. Next, we will trek to Bolingbrook and splash around at Pelican Harbor. Our last stop will be Cypress Cove in Woodridge where you can enjoy three body slides, one tube slide, a 600-foot lazy river and much more. Concessions are available for purchase at each site. Please bring a towel, sunblock, water and money if you would like to purchase items from concessions. All participants must know how to swim. Pools will swim test upon arrival. Registration deadline is July 10th. This is a cooperative program between the Park Districts of Lisle, Westmont, Downers Grove, Clarendon Hills, Oakbrook Terrace, Darien and Bolingbrook.
All other participants must be dropped off and picked up at the Athletic Recreation Center, 8201 S. Janes Ave, Woodridge. Pick-up time is 5:15pm.
